Paul's TestimonyI was born into a Marine family to godly parents who loved the Lord and tried to teach us kids to do the same. When I was four years old, we were living in Okinawa, Japan and it was there that I trusted Christ as my Saviour. We moved to Quantico, VA in 1994 and began attending Heritage Baptist Church in Woodbridge, VA. When I was a Senior in High School, God burdened my heart to answer His call to preach and I did so. I attended college at Crown College in Powell, TN and it was there that I met Sarah.

Sarah's Testimony On April 3, 1985, I was born into the loving care of a pastor's family. I was nurtured at home, in church, and school to serve the Lord with my whole heart. At the age of eight, I realized my need of salvation and my dad led me to the Lord after church one night. Dr. Don Sisk came to speak at Central Baptist Church (my home church) during one of our world mission conferences. The Lord used Dr. Sisk to impress on my young heart the need for missionaries, especially in Japan. During this mission conference, I surrendered my life to missions. While attending Crown College, I met my husband Paul through the deaf ministry.

Our Story
We met at Crown College in Powell, TN during the fall of 2004 while both of us were working in the deaf ministry at Temple Baptist Church. Over the next year we had many opportunities to serve together and became close friends. We were engaged during the summer of 2007 and were married on June 7th, 2008. We moved to Leesburg, VA where we served at Faithway Baptist church working with the teens for the next two years. We learned many valuable lessons and gained practical ministry experience. It was during this time that the Lord began to work on our hearts about missionary work, specifically Japan. In the spring of 2010, we surrendered to go to Japan and are thrilled to see what the Lord is doing with our lives.

October 27, 2012 Karen Ruth Johnson Karen is in Middle school as of April 2025. She is doing a great job learning Japanese and making friends. She loves cooking and all things art. 
Ethan
May 31, 2014 Ethan Ryan Johnson Pray for Ethan as he grows and learns. He is attending Japanese Elementary school. He loves playing outside and is always making us laugh at his antics. 
Joshua
August 4, 2016 Joshua Allen Johnson Joshua attends a Japanese Elementary School. He is learning Japanese very quickly. He enjoys being around people and learning more every day. 
Charity
March 18, 2021 Charity Rose Johnson Charity is the newest member of the family and is always happy. She is attending a Japanese pre-school and adapting well. She brings a lot of smiles and joy to our family and others around her. |
